Service to communities
Always.

From the back of an ambulance to the mayor's office, Ken Massey has spent his career showing up — for patients, for neighbors, and for the communities of Senate District 8.

A Record of Service

A career built on showing up.

Ken's experience reads less like a resume and more like a long stretch of stepping in where communities needed him.

Where Ken Stands

Five priorities. One mission.

Ken's politics are practical, not performative. Here's what he'll carry into Lansing — and the record behind each one.

01

Public Safety

A decade as a medic. Two decades supporting fire, police, and EMS from the council seat. Public safety isn't a talking point — it's Ken's life story.

02

Fiscal Responsibility

Balanced budgets. Strong bond ratings. Respect for every taxpayer dollar. Ken believes good government delivers services without wasting trust.

03

Mental Health

Ken helped found Farmington SAFE to break the stigma around depression and suicide. More than a decade of "let's talk about it" — and counting.

04

Practical Leadership

A scientist's discipline. A mayor's experience. Ken brings facts, listens to residents, and works across the aisle to deliver results.

05

Economic Opportunity

Decades in biotech and venture development. Helped attract major investment and jobs to Farmington Hills. Ken knows how growth actually happens.

A Personal Mission

Turning loss into a lifeline.

After losing his stepson Graham to suicide, Ken helped start Farmington SAFE — a community task force devoted to conversation, awareness, and prevention. The work has continued for more than a decade.

Senate District 8

The district has changed. Ken's service hasn't.

The newly redrawn District 8 brings together communities Ken has served his entire career — Farmington and Farmington Hills as home base, plus Livonia, Northville, Northville Township, and most of Novi.

The winner of the 2026 race will begin serving the new district in 2027.
